The Will to Fight

Finding the will to fight
Difficult in a world of wrong or right
The world is not always so
It being a matter of letting go

Trampled upon, beat down
Causing one to wear a frown
Only those with privilege seem to wear the crown

Having odds stacked against you
Thinking what to do
Time precious, the seconds few

Where to start?
How to accomplish?
Where do I start my battle?
Or is it over before I began?

Must I stay in this place of strife? No!
Must I hate my life? No!
What is my right?

The right to... fight!

Scary at first
Must quench this thirst
This thirst for freedom, happiness and joy

First step is hard
Second step not as hard
Third I am on the way
Soon I will be in the fray

Then I will say "Fight!"
Fight for my freedom
Fight for my life

Nothing is accomplished without some struggle
Life is not an eternal debacle
One makes them self susceptible
to those things that case pain & suffering

Stop to pretend to be happy
For something that is so crappy
Wanting things that are more snappy

Feel good
Be good
Finally being understood

All it takes is a will
A will to be free
A will to see

Never lose sight
It is my right
The will to fight

Sick

Body numb, coughing some Mid-winter colds are always a joy! Just always in time to annoy Advil, Alka-Seltzer, Tylenol All claim to provide relief Actually subduing my grief The relief is oh so brief In a few days I should be fine No point to sit and whine Feeling better will be divine

Longer

The longer you stay, the harder it is to get away Such is life's way Building up such a nay Getting comfortable and set in ways Becoming too lethargic to stray Living just comes what may Dreaming of a way to get away Breaking through the fray Knowing what needs to say This being the only way One needs to say The shorter the stay, the easier it is to get away

Another night

Another night and it is long Scent of a day gone by strong Sitting here wondering & pondering Will there be a new beginning by the dawn's early bright Each new day full of wonder and fright Perhaps, it should be made into a delight Every day ends in a new night Every day begins with new light This being what should be a delight To wake up and live Pains and agonies one must forgive Forgiveness is a gift  Depsite what those who refuse to forgive            each day is a new chance to live
